The Golden State Warriors will be hosting the Boston Celtics in the NBA Finals. The Warriors are back in the Finals for the first time in since 2019 and the sixth time in eight seasons.
Prior to Thursday’s Game 1, Wiggins spoke candidly about being the primary defenseman for Tatum and Brown. Clearly, the Warriors’ Star is savoring this occasion:
“I love taking on the challenge,” he said, via C.J. Holmes of the San Francisco Chronicle. “Tatum, Brown, they’re the best offensive players on Boston, so it’s something I’m looking forward to.”
Throughout this Playoff run, Wiggins has drawn the assignment of guarding Ja Morant in their second-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies. In the Western Conference, Finals had the task of guarding Luka Doncic. Duties that the first-time All-Star farewell in and now has to face the Celtics’ combination of Jayson Tatum Jaylen Brown.
Speaking of the Warriors’ in a recent Instagram Live, there super fan Mistah FAB was asked has he been to Boston before.
“I think I have been to Boston once, or he was supposed to go. I can’t remember,” said FAB.
“As soon as I get to Boston, I’m ordering some clam crowder. I need some real claim crowder.”
He added, “Whenever we go, whether Boston or Miami, I plan to be in the building. No matter where we are going, we are in the f***ing building; I’ll tell you that. It’s crazy because, in 1964, the San Francisco Warriors played the Boston Celtics and [beat us 4-1]. We are going ahead and getting that back. I might be broke after this all ‘The Dope’ Store about to be for sale. I’m selling whatever to get to their games. I don’t give a f*** you only live once, man. Even if I have to go into my reserves, I’m going broke about going to these Finals. I don’t give a f***. I’m going to be their man.”
He also shared if, “Anybody who wants to bet any games. I’m betting any Boston n***s, whoever wants to play. Whatever y’all want to bet. I’m even betting equity, if I don’t have the cash. Six months free VIP at the club. Bet the bottles n****. I’m betting whatever… I’m not play about my Warriors. I’ll counted us out. Matter of fact, I’m about to drop a mixtape Unk… F*** it.”
The Finals start on June 2 on ABC at 9 pm EST.
