WWE Smackdown was in Brooklyn, New York, for this week’s edition of Friday Night Smackdown. During this week’s episode, Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair traded insults back and forth as they built up their storyline towards their Smackdown Women’s Championship match in Arlington, Texas, at WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium.
The Women’s Championship Charlotte Flair was not in Brooklyn on Friday evening. Still, she was cutting her promos from a satellite location, and while cutting that promotion, she took shots at the city of Brooklyn.
“Ronda up here! That was a great speech! I loved the visual, but did you think I would be in Brooklyn tonight? Did you actually think I would step foot in that low-rent city? ” Said, Flair.
“Before WrestleMania? I don’t know who you think you are, but I don’t answer when you call. You’re the contender and I am the champion.”
Rousey replied, “Charlotte, I know exactly who I am! I’m Ronda Rousey! Did you know when I was 14 years old? I broke my first arm and I liked it! I was so proud of myself that I started keeping count until I eventually lost count.”
Flair added, “I’ve actually run out of a way to hurt you and if I was there tonight I would have to throw you off the Brooklyn Bridge to get any kind of satisfaction, but I guess I’ll have to wait until next week.”
Finally, Rousey added, “Charlotte, you think you are the ‘me’ of WWE, don’t you? Well, you’re not, and here is why. If you beat me at WrestleMania, It will hand down be the biggest victory of your career. Whereas when I beat you at your own game, you will be another of a lost count.”
We are a week away from WrestleMania in Arlington, Texas, the biggest pay-per-view of the year, and we will see who has bringing rights after the match between Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair.
