Last week, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported, Victor Oladipo could make his season debut for the Miami Heat within the next two weeks.

Per Woj, Oladipo is increasing activity after quad tendon surgery and accompanying the Heat on their six-game road trip and could return in early March. Oladipo, who underwent his first operation of the quad tendon in January 2019, arrived in Miami in March 2021 trade-deadline deal with the Houston Rockets and played four games before re-injuring the quad in April. The following month, he began rehabbing after having surgery again.

Since last January, Victor Oladipo has been out after suffering his injury against the Toronto Raptors, but according to NBA TV producer Isaiah Johnson recently shared that, Oladipo is 100 percent healthy.

“Real quick I have some insider news. I got some inside, Oladipo from my understanding. He’s one hundred percent healthy. And what I was told was he looks like old Oladipo and he was dealing with [a series of] knee injuries. He went through leaps and hurdles, surgeries, and a lot of rehab to get his knee back 100 percent. The Heat would not even clear him if he’s not ready to go,” said Johnson on Clubhouse at the 1:05:23 mark via NBA Fan Club.

“What I’m hearing from the inside, who works with Oladipo, his medical team, is that he’s one hundred percent. So, I’ll let you have an opinion [with] a hundred percent old Oladipo makes an impact.”

Oladipo is a two-time All-Star and averaged 12 points a game in the four games he played during the 2020-21 season. However, when healthy, the second overall pick in the 2013 draft is averaging 17.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, 4.0 assists on 43.8 percent from the field, and 34.7 percent from the three.

Victor Olapido is projected to come off the bench when he makes his return. Miami should expect 12-15 from Olapido per night and hover around his career shooting numbers.

The Miami Heat beat the San Antonio Spurs 133-129 on Saturday evening.
