Long Island Rising Star DAMU UP Is Next Up

Rising star DAMU UP hauls from Long Island, NY, also known as ‘Strong Island,’ and the sixth borough. DAMU is signed to Wildfire Entertainment and his label mate R&B artist Nia Winooski.

DAMU UP is looking to follow in the footsteps of other ‘Strong Island’ greats such as EPMD, Rakim, Keith Murray, and K solo. The rising star has already had the Tri-States buzzing after his after-song releases, respectfully with Roc Nation’s own Casanova 2X and Fivio Foreign.

The single with Casanova 2X is called ‘No Kappin,’ with the music video approaching 100,000 views.

The joint with Fivio Foreign is called ‘Call of Duty,’ and if you asked me, it is straight fire. The single is one that I feel helps push the hip-hop culture. It reminds me of that Chicago drill music mixed with the New York sound. After listening to the single made me want to hop on the sticks and play the game ‘Call of Duty.’

The music video dropped on the World Star Hip Hop YouTube page, which helped generate over half a million views.

Now, DAMU UP is back again after recently unleashing a new single entitled “The Way She Twerk” featuring Renni Rucci, based out of South Carolina. The single is booty clapping booty music that you would play in the strip club or a nightclub, and it definitely has a catchy beat and lyrics. The music video dropped on World Star Hip Hop’s YouTube page and is approaching 500,000 views.

The final single that I listen to from DAMU UP is a song called ‘YKTV,’ another drill single. The single reminds me of Pop Smoke’s ‘Dior,’ if I’m being one hundred percent honest. The song is still one that I would have in my rotation, but it does give me a Pop Smoke vibe. The music video is approaching 200k in views.

DAMU UP earned a fan in me can’t wait to see what else he has in the chamber as he looks to continue his legacy. Make sure you stay tapped in with him and WildFire Entertainment. You follow DAMU UP on Instagram .
