Michael Jackson’s Son Has A Strong Message In Michael Jackson & Drake Debate

Drake’s latest release, Certified Lover Boy, made history when nine of the project’s ten songs debuted on the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

The feat tied Drake with the Beatles for most of the ten best hits on the same album and just notching past Michael Jackson, who held the record since Thriller dropped in 1982.

When Michael’s son, Prince Jackson, was asked by TooFab whether he thought Drake might be as great as his father was in his prime. Prince answered honestly, saying that he did not believe that MJ’s race could ever be duplicated.

“I mean, everybody has their own definition of great, and all respect to Drake [and] everything that he does,” Prince told Toofab, adding that he doesn’t think his father’s career could ever be replicated.

“What my father and my family accomplished, in the time that they did it, is very unlikely never to be matched again.”

In September, Billboard triggered a debate after posting a tweet asking fans, whether “Drake in 2021 [is] as big as Michael Jackson or The Beatles at their peaks?”

While some fans responded by saying that Drake is “the greatest”, others said this is not possible.

On the single “You Only Live Once,” which is featured on the Certified Lover Boy album, Drake makes reference to the King of Pop.

“Not sure if, you know, but I’m actually Michael Jackson / The man I see in the mirror is actually goin’ platinum.”

Last week, Fat Joe shared on Twitter Spaces in the BET Hip Hop Awards Spaces, that Drake is the Michael Jackson of hip hop.

Three years ago, Drake featured the King of Pop on his album Scorpion on the single ‘Don’t Matter To Me.’
