Last month Dallas Mavericks guard and preseason MPV front runner Luka Doncic went viral on Twitter for his offseason activities. “Hookah Doncic” becomes a thing after the Maverick star posted some vacation photos in Greece and taking advantage of a hookah.
Mavs fans love the off-season content of Luka Doncic, with Hookah Doncic having a chance to cling to it as a rightful nickname.
On Tuesday, Drake took to Instagram and posted a photo of someone wearing a Mavs 77 jersey with ‘Hooka Doncic’ on the back and tagged Luka in the post. Giving his stamp of approval of the new nickname.
Drake just recently his new album ‘Certified Lover Boy, ‘ which, as of Wednesday, according to DJ Akademiks, has sold 600K copies in the first week.
As for Doncic and the Mavericks are looking to improve on their first-round exit in the playoffs for the second year in a row against the Los Angeles Clippers. Luka Doncic did everything that he could do to help the Mavericks win both series, but he could not do it all by himself.
However, if you ask NBA great Gilbert Arenas, he led a YMCA Dallas Mavericks team to the playoffs last season.
“Can Luka [do it] all by himself? S—t, he did it for Dallas,” Arenas said via Fanatics View. “That YMCA team he had got into the playoffs. I’m serious…he has a chance. He has a chance. Yes.”
The 2021-22 season starts at the end of next month.
