USA Men’s Basketball capped off the Olympics with their fourth straight gold medal after beating France 87-82. The team was led by two-time Finals MVP and now three-time gold medalist Kevin Durant, who scored 29 points. Durant joins Carmelo Anthony as the only other player to win three gold medals in US Basketball history. The Brooklyn forward is also ranked number one in Olympic play, with 435 points in 22 games.

After Australia beat Slovenia in the bronze medal game, the USA, France, and Australia were presented with their respected medals. During the process, Kevin Durant went live on Instagram to share the moment with fans worldwide. At one point, Durant could be seen with newly signed point guard Patty Mills sharing a moment.

“Ay Patty coming back to the BK black and white. You Ballin you had 40 tonight. There are going to be problems for the Boston Celtics this year. I’m telling you,” said Durant.

Celtics’ new head coach, Ime Udoka, who coached Durant, and Mills in the past, shared, “We know how to lock Patty a** up though.”

The Brooklyn Nets eliminated the Celtics in five games during the first round of the 2020-21 playoffs earlier this season.
