Russell Westbrook Is A Good Fit For Lakers, Says Actor

Bleachers News

Last month, the Los Angeles Lakers swung a draft-day trade that sent Kyle Kuzma,
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell, and the number 22 pick [Isaiah Jackson] for former MVP Russell Westbrook, 2024 second-round pick, and 2028 second-round pick.

According to CBS ‘ Lakers insider Bill Reiter, individuals within the Lakers brass are not fans of the trade.

“There was a strong level of disagreement with the Lakers organization about whether or not Russell Westbrook was ultimately the person they needed to pursue with the picks and the players, meaning Montrezl Harrell and Kyle Kuzma, who are now headed to Washington, said Reiter. “

“Communicating with one Lakers source who was not excited about the Westbrook trade, he said in the end, the star power and belief by general manager Rob Pelinka that Westbrook and his ability, his track record of excellence is what the Lakers need.”

However, Snowfall actor Amin Joesph disagrees and thinks it’s a good fit.

“Just saying someone is old doesn’t mean you think they won’t win, but as we know with age, you have to make up for it. You have to make up for the grueling 82 game season, and that is why I think Russell [Westbrook] is a good addition because you lose something if you dispel LeBron [James] and AD [Anthony Davis], who also like to go down too. So, I think whatever pairing you are going to be good,” said Joesph.

“Sort of like what is going on in Brooklyn except, I think as a team ball, I would much rather have the Lakers because of Anthony Davis’ defensive prowess. I much like the Lakers’ chances of winning another championship. They are much more well-rounded because of their big three.”

LeBron James will be 37 years old next season, and Anthony Davis has missed time throughout his career and makes sense.

Westbrook last season for the Wizards averaged, 22.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 11.7 assists per game in 65 games.
