On Monday evening, Megan Thee Stallion was the topic of discussion on Clubhouse in the ‘We are Sports’ room. During the discussion, Houston native and Grammy Nominated Producer Roahn Hylton had a message for his fellow Houston native.

“I’m from H-Town, I’ve been in circles and heard her rap, and I heard about her before all the stuff, and I know what she can do. However, when it comes to putting out records, she not give us the best that she can. That’s all I’m saying because I know that I would agree with you on some of the pop stuff when it comes to Nicki. However, the fact of the matter of it is Nicki held the crown for ten years. And there is a reason why she did,” said Hylton.

Hylton received some pushback on Nicki Minaj’s statement because the panel believed Nicki didn’t have much competition. But, he would explain who was around during Nicki’s reign as the best female rapper in hip hop.

He added, “You had holdovers from some of the Timberland camp, Miss J, Eve, and Rhapsody. She is someone I always talk about because she got bars.”

The conversation then turned into one-trick ponies such as Money Bag Yo were mentioned.

“Those are not legends Money Bag Yo won’t go down as a legend, but I bet you Megan will,” Hylton shared.

“Megan’s trick is her same cadence it is basically taking all those H-Town flows from UGK flipping them and rapping over sexualize lyrics. And I’m not here s*** on legends. I’m saying Megan can do more and we heard that in her freestyle I want to hear more from her because I know she can do it, and we know she can put together a great record. If she tries, she just has not yet. She put together some hits and some amazing moments.”

Hylton has worked with artists such as Flo Rida, Plies, Ne-Yo, Trey Songz, Kaleena, Ludacris, Cassie, Ariana Grande, The Game, Gucci, and New Boys. Creating hits such as Nicki Minaj’s ‘Super Bass,’ Arina Grande’s ‘Honeymoon Avenue, ‘ and Flo Rida’s Make a Wish.’
