Drake Gives Update On “Certified Lover Boy”

In late January, Drake announced the bad news to fans, while his sixth studio album, “Certified Lover Boy,” was eventually delayed. It was originally scheduled for release in January and originally announced in October, the day of Drake’s birthday.

Now, Drake has a fan update about the state of CLB right now. On Sound 42 Radio, he disclosed that he is currently in the middle of mixing. However, the date of official publication has not yet been made public.

There has also been chatter behind the scenes that Drake has been waiting for Kendrick Lamar to drop his album, which is slated to drop later this year. So just in case, there is a jab in there in Drake’s direction.

Drake has still been in his bag in 2021, despite the delay of CLB. He released his “Scary Hours 2” EP in March, which contained three tracks and appearances from Lil Baby and Rick Ross. All three songs made history when they debuted in the top three of the Billboard Hot 100. He also won the Artist of the Decade Award at BMMA in May.
