NBA Used To Fine Allen Iverson Before The Season For Dress Code Violation “100 Percent True, Says Ex-NBA Vet

Earlier this week on Clubhouse in the Courtside with Dukes’ room. The topic of discussion was Michael Jordan vs. Allen Iverson, who was the bigger basketball Icon.

In 2005, former NBA Commissioner David Stern changed the dress code, and the new set of rules often called A.I. Rule.“

Some thought the rules were racist or a slap in the face to the hip-hop community with XXXXL shirts, baggy jeans, timberlands, and oversized necklaces being banned. However, Iverson paved the way for flashy apparel and quickly became the scapegoat of the new rule.

Jordan Brand athlete Jared Jeffries before every season, Iverson would pay dress code fines before the season would start.

“That’s 100 percent true,” says Jared Jeffries. He would just ask how much are you going to fine me & paid it before the season.”

The former MVP would be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2016, and Shaquille O’Neal and Yao Ming.
