On Sunday evening, the Atlanta Hawks eliminated the Philadephia 76ers in game seven on the road.

Sixers head coach Doc Rivers if Ben Simmon could be the starting point guard of a championship team.

“I don’t know the answer to that,” Rivers said.

Simmons was not only a horrible offense against the Hawks; he was invisible. He might as well not have been out there. And during some critical minutes throughout the fourth quarter of game seven, he was not on the floor.

Simmons also went 25-for-73 [34.2%] of the free-throw line during the playoffs. It’s the worst free-throw percentage in a single playoffs (minimum 70 attempts) in NBA history.

Rivers, on Ben Simmons’ free-throws and lack of aggressiveness:

“I still believe in him, but we have work to do. We’re gonna have to get in the gym, put a lot of work in and go for it, ” according to Derek Bodner.

Well, according to Bally Sports’ Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson, Simmon could be in Portland next season.

“Portland Trail Blazers could be a team who inquires about Ben Simmons IF the Philadelphia 76ers All Star is made available this summer,” tweeted Robinson.

He would follow up that tweet by sharing that Minnesota and Denver could also be suitors for Simmons services.

“Minnesota Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets would also make logical sense IF Ben Simmons were made available this off-season. Exciting times ahead,” tweeted Robinson.

Atlanta beat the Sixers 103 to 96 to advance to the Eastern Conference Final for the first time since 2015 to play the Milwaukee Bucks.
