It has been almost three years since four-time Grammy winner Ne-Yo released his last new studio album, Good Man. The project produced two singles, “Good Man” and “Push Back,” featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don.

The Camden, Arkansas native, recently on Instagram Live with Krys K and revealed that he would be dropping his new album in the middle of the year.

“Be looking for my album to be out in the middle of the year. But, I am about to put out a couple of singles in a minute,” said Ne-Yo.

He also shared that he will be releasing “Where There’s Smoke Tapes”

“It’s like an open mic for independent artists to basically get their stuff out there. People are going to listen to it a little bit because it’s me.”

Last week was also the 15 anniversary of his debut album, In My Own Words. According to Antwane Folk of ratedrnb.com, Ne-Yo will be reissuing the project in a bundle digital edition expanded release on February 26th along with a documentary.

The project will feature 13 singles, including two tracks that were once exclusive to retail (“Girlfriend”) and included in the previous Japanese edition [“Stay (Remix)”].

The documentary centered around the life of Ne-Yo after the release of his first album. It gives the fans a look into the creative mind as one of the best songwriters and producers of his day. He will also shed light on his relationship with his wife and his performance at George Floyd’s funeral last summer.
