During the off season, the Phoenix acquired 10-time NBA All-Star Chris Paul from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Pairing him with raising star Devin Booker and the runner up to Damian Lillard for ‘Bubble MVP.’
Last season, Paul led the Thunder to the playsoff as the fifth seed setting up a matchup against Paul’s former team the Rockets. The Rockets would go on to beat the Thunder in seven games, but for the Oklahoma not many were expecting to finish in the top five in the western conference. But for Paul, another big accomplishment was, that he finished the season healthy. Something the actor Sheldon Bailey enjoyed watching last season.
“I think it shows a testament to his work and nutrition, which is amazing. I was very happy to see Chris Paul preform well in Oklahoma. I was actually disappointed when they didn’t get the upset against the Rockets. There is obviously something going on between Chris Paul and James Harden,” says Sheldon Bailey.
“The Suns are basically looking like the Oklahoma City Thunder situation, that doesn’t make them a championship contender. It does switch the Suns with OKC putting them in that 5 to 7 spot. Unless we get something amazing from DeAndre Ayton, which possibly could be the case.”
Last season Ayton after his 25 game suspension, averaged 18.2 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists.
