Last week it was announced that Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. are schedule to fight on September 12 on Pay Per View. And according to reports, the Triller app company paid north of $50 million for the fight between the two legends.

Tyson finished his professional career with 50-6  with 44 knockouts to his name.

Tyson, has 樂威壯 been training for a while now with many boxing insiders and fans speculating that the former world champion had some interest of getting back in the ring.

In a recent interview with Facebook Gaming, Tyson shared that he feels unstoppable.

“I feel unstoppable now. The gods of war have reawakened me. They’ve ignited my ego and want me to go to war again. … Imagine I went out there and fought. I could help all these people and animals we’re talking about. That’s really what it’s about.”

It seem like Tyson has the championship mindset that made him a boxing legend and if that is the case Jones should be worried.

The last time that Tyson was in the ring he lost in the seventh round in a bout against  Irish fighter Kevin McBride at the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. on June 11, 2005. That came on the heels of Tyson being knocked out in the fourth round fight against Danny Williams the year before.

As far Jones, he finished his career with a 66-9 record with his last bout being on February 8, 2018, against S日本藤素 cott Sigmon. A fight Jones won by an unanimous decision in his hometown of Pensacola, Florida.

The former Heavyweight Champion was recently in Dallas, Texas giving back to some of the boxers at Montoya Gym and was interviewed by K 104’s Ron Murray Jr. During their interview, Murray Jr. asked Jones why did decide to take on this fight.

“Well, a lot of things have been going on. A lot of people have been at home with nothing to do. No sports, no baseball, no football, no basketball or nothing to do. Two of the most entertaining fighters to ever grace the sport of boxing were Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. We are home with nothing else to do and they are going to put them two in the ring to do anything. Don’t you want to watch?” Jones said.

“And you know Mike is pretty much Bio-plar, so he might do anything. You understand me? He might do anything! That is why he was so entertaining because you never knew what he might do. And once again, I have to treat it that way, I don’t know what he might do. So, I have to be prepared to protect myself against whatever, he might do. They want me to wear the earmuffs, but I still don’t know what he might do,” said Jones.

There was a possibility of this bout happening years ago, and Jones reached out to Rap A Lots’ J Princes to try to lock it in. However, according to Jones, Tyson didn’t want to fight anymore.

” He said it right, possibly, but Mike said he was thorough with boxing and didn’t want to fight anymore. When I won the Heavyweight Title I said I would only fight one guy, and I asked J Prince to call him and I tried everything I could to get in touch with anyone that had a relationship with him. J called him and Mike said I’m done with boxing and I said okay, if he doesn’t want to box, there’s no reason for me to stay up here. [So, I went back down to the lightweight division]. So, all that stuff about Roy turned down $40 million to fight Tyson, Hell no are you serious?,” Jones revealed.
