The First round of the NBA playoff is in full swing and defeating champs the Golden State Warriors are deadlocked in a 1-1 tie with the Los Angeles Clippers head into game three in Los Angeles. Yesterday Kevin Durant was asked during a media scrum what was he and the Warriors take away from their 31 point collapse in game two.

Kevin Durant responded by stating he would break it down:

“Well, we had a nice flow of the game. Let’s go back to the last month of the season we have been playing this way for a while. When going into this series game one, we had nice momentum they are playing a gimmick defense, which has been working. Top locking everything on the perimeter, so guys are not even looking at the three-point line they are just forcing guys inside the three-point line. So, for us when I get the ball in my spots I have a pest Patrick Beverley, who’s up underneath me,” Said Durant. “ Who I could definitely shoot over the top and score every time if it’s a 1-on-1 situation. But we’ve got a guy that’s dropping and helping, and we’ve got another guy that’s sitting on me, waiting for me to dribble the basketball. If I put the basketball on the floor, I can probably make 43 percent of my shots if I shoot them like that. But that’s not really gonna do anything for us with the outcome of the game, ‘cause we’ve got a nice flow. Everybody’s touching the rock, and everybody’s shooting and scoring. So, I not going to get in the way of the game plan cause I want to have a back and forth with Patrick Beverley. I’m Kevin Durant, you know who 犀利士
I am, y’all know I am!

He would continue, “When he run up on me like a pit bull, grab me, hold me, I don’t mind it,” Durant said. “That’s how he make his money. That’s how he feed his family. But if I throw something back, then let us play.”

Beverley responded to a question about getting into his opposites head after both he and Durant were ejected following game one.

“I don’t try to get in people’s head man,” Beverley told reporters. “I can’t help (that) people get irritated by me. It’s not my fault. I go out there and I try to be the best defender on the f—ing planet, consistently – (day) in and out, in and out. I take my role, I take my job, very seriously, and I do it for my teammates.

“I understand my role, and I understand how to get stops. KD is not an easy cover, but it’s fun out there for sure.”

Last night on TNT’s Inside the NBA Charles Barkley compared Beverley guarding Kevin as a Leprechaun trying to guard a seven-foot guy.

“They [The Clippers] have a little Leprechaun guarding a guy that is seven feet tall. Just go to the box make them double or he is going to score,” says Barkley.

The Los Angeles Clippers and Warriors series shifts to Los Angeles for games three and four starting tonight. Make sure you tune in 10:30 P.M. EST and 7:30 P.M PST.
