D’Angelo Russell wants to relocate to Manhattan? Does that mean he would like to be a Knick?

Don’t worry Net fans he only wants to changes his living address, since he is currently living in the borough of Brooklyn. According to Basketball Society Online scribe Brandon “Scoop B’ Robinson,  a source shared with him that Russell “wants to live in Manhattan.”

The same source according to Robinson, Russell likes the New York Area.

“He likes New York,” said the source close to Russell.

Russell is averaging 20.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 6.6 assists per game this season for the Brooklyn Nets. The Nets have a 30-29 record, which is good enough to be in the sixth spot in the Eastern Conference Playoff race. Russell was recently selected to his first All-Star game.

The former second overall pick by the Los Angeles Lakers is hoping to cash in on a big contract with the Nets this summer.

“He’s hoping to sign a big contract with Brooklyn this summer,” another source told Robinson.

“He just has to stay healthy, stay safe and play good basketball. Everything else should take care of itself.”

The Nets have been a really exciting team to watch this season with the young core of Caris LeVert, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris, and Russell.

The Nets next game will be against the Portland Trail Blazers in Portland on Thursday.
