Luka Doncic Responds To Dwyane Wade’s LeBron James Like Comment, “It Was Amazing.”

USA Today

Before the All-Star Break, the Dallas Mavericks played host to the Miami Heat and Dwyane Wade. As we all know Wade announced before the season that this would be his final season and unless both the Heat and Mavericks make the Finals again this year. It will be the last game Wade will step foot on the floor as an active athlete at the American Airlines Center ever.

The Miami Heat would go on to beat the Dallas Mavericks 112-101. Dwyane would lead all Heat players with 22 points adding two rebounds and one assist in 22 minutes of play.  After the game, Wade addressed the media in Dallas for what looks like the final time.  During the media scrum, Wade answered questions about He and Dirk Nowitzki’s jersey swap after the game. In addition, being a Hall of Famer one day, and his thoughts on Mavericks rookie sensation Luka Doncic.

Before the game Wade had this to say about Luka Doncic:

“Hell of a player, hell of a young player. It seems like he has been here before already. He is very seasoned, and I think the Dallas Mavericks fans and fans around the world should be excited about what he can do for the next 20 years,” said Wade.

After the game Wade had this to says about the Rookie of the Year front runner and it made headlines:

“quote me right when I say this – it’s LeBron James-like from the standpoint of how he’s able to rope that pass to shooters in corners, getting blitzed. There’s not many guys who can do that and put it right there. He does an amazing job of it,” said Wade.

Well, earlier today Doncic responded to that game breakdown from Wade:

“It was amazing. I saw what he said. That kind of legend he has been around here for so much time. He was an amazing basketball player, and he still is. It was just amazing to see, and it touched me for sure,” Doncic told me.

Luka Doncic scored 18 points, collected 12 bounds, and was an assist shy of another triple-double against the Heat in 33 minutes of play. Doncic has won the last two Rookie of the Month Awards and is on his way to winning his third in a row for the month of February.
