According to a source close to the situation, Anthony Tolliver is a likely buyout candidate. Teams who were interested in Tolliver’s services at the trade deadline were the Dallas Mavericks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Toronto Raptors, and the Golden State Warriors, I’m told. These are teams that would still be interested, if he were bought out by the Timberwolves.
Tolliver is a high character guy and a great locker room presence, I’m told. He has the ability to stretch the floor at either the three or the four positions.
Tolliver is averaging 4.2 points, 2.2 rebounds, 0.5 assists per game, and shooting 40 percent from the field this season for the Minnesota Timberwolves. Throughout his eleven-year career, Tolliver has averaged 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 0.9 assists, shooting 50 percent inside the three point line, and 37 percent from behind it.
Tolliver is on a one year deal worth $5.75 million with the Timberwolves.
