The Miami Heat just announced that they will retire future Hall of Famer Chris Bosh’s jersey making in him the fourth player in franchise history to achieve that honor. The others are Alonzo Mourning, Tim Hardaway, and Shaquille O’Neal.

Bosh and Lebron James signed with the Miami Heat back in 2010, when they announced to the world that they were not going to win not one, two, three, four, five, six, seven at the Heat’s welcome party. Unfortunately, the Heat were only able to capture two titles in the four appearances in the finals during Bosh’s tenure.

In 2015, The Miami Heat would shut down Chris Bosh for the season due to being diagnosed with a blood clot, which traveled from his leg to his lung.  The second happened in February of 2016 when Bosh felt some discomfort in his calf. At the time Bosh was in the middle of a five-year deal worth $118 million. Lucky for Bosh the NBA has to pay out the full contract due to the collective bargaining agreement. He is still owed $26.8 million in 2018-19 according to the Miami Herald. Bosh will get his jersey retired on March 26, 2019.
