The Dallas Mavericks are coming off their six straight loss on their west coast road trip and currently sitting in the 12th spot in the Western Conference.  Last night 12-23-18) rookie sensation Luka Doncic made it very interesting (against the Portland Trailblazers as he hit a buzzer beater with 00.6 seconds left on the clock in the fourth quarter to send the game into overtime.  The Mavericks would eventually fall to the Blazers  118-121.

After the game, NBA Insider and Heavy contributor Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson tweeted that Luka’s nickname should be “Uncle Luke.” The only problem is the name is already taken by Miami, Florida native, Luther Campbell of 2 Live Crew. He is known worldwide by his stage name of Uncle Luke.  If you don’t know, who Luther Campbell is you should go look up ESPN’s 30 for 30 “The U.”  Campbell was a major player in the pay to play scandal back in the early 1980s at the University of Miami during their national title run under now, pro football Hall of Fame coach Jimmy Johnson.  Jimmy Johnson is also known for being the architect that built the Dallas Cowboys dynasty in the early 1990s.

Cambell is also known for the hit single “I Wanna Rock Doo Doo Brown.“

Cambell actually responded to Robinson’s tweet and it been known that he is actually in Dallas for a couple of days. He will also be checking out Luka in person at the American Airlines Center on December 26th against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday. Campbell also this Luka has some swag.

It seems like Doncic has a fan in Campbell. The Dallas Mavericks take on the New Orleans Pelicans at 7:30 pm CST on Wednesday at the American Airlines Center. This will be the second of the four meeting for both teams.
