The reigning Rookie of the year Ben Simmons would like for the 76ers to sign 19-year veteran Jamal Crawford, but it is not going to be as easy as many may think.
According to Brandon “Scoop B’ Robinson league sources have expressed to him that in order for the Sixers to sign Crawford, Philly would need to move Jerryd Bayless’ contract. Bayless’ contract can be moved in two different ways first he can be traded, which Philly hasn’t been able to find a trade partner after talks with the Cavaliers has cooled off last month according to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer. The deal would have seen the Cavaliers send one-time Sixer Kyle Korver. The other scenario is to buy out his $8.57 million according to Spotrac. Bayless is in the final year of a three-year deal worth 27 million.
We will keep you updated as this story continues to develop in Philly.
