Cris Carter went IN on the NFL, players and more.

President Trump decided  Donald J. Trump called off the scheduled event with the Philadephia Eagles on Tuesday honoring the current Superbowl Champs. Instead, he invites the United States Marine Band and the United States Army Chorus… Honoring America!  President Trump has been very critical of the NFL and its players for allowing players to stage a silent protest by taking a knee during the U.S. National anthem. In response to social injustices including police brutality toward African-Americans.

Not too long ago, the NFL implemented a policy stating that players are required to stand for the anthem or can stay in their locker rooms. This is a method the Los Angeles Sparks decided to use during the WNBA Finals this past season when they stayed in the locker room during the national anthem.

This is not the first time President Trump has had run-ins with professional sports leagues and their champions. The Golden State Warriors two-time MVP Steph Curry was asked if he and his teammates would be visiting the White House following their victory over the Cavaliers in the 2017 NBA Finals.

Curry voiced his disinterest: “I don’t want to go,” he said.

We don’t stand for basically what our President has – the things that he’s said and the things that he hasn’t said in the right times, that we won’t stand for it,”

President Trump would later respond by tweeting that the Warriors were disinvited.

Three-Time NBA Champion Lebron James came to the defense of Steph Curry

‘U bum  already said he ain’t going! So, therefore, ain’t no invite. Going to White House was a great honor until you showed up!’

The US Flag, The White House, and Colin Kaepernick have been the top of discussion for the past year and a half now.

Eric Salvary of House of Boom recently caught up with NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter at a Q & A at TheBlackManCan Institute in Manhattan. Carter was asked about the Anthem Policy, and he is what he had to say:

“Every bully that you know, every street corner, every project, every country bumpkin, every dude you know; they are in the NFL.”
