Rich Paul And Nerlens Noel Come To An Agreement

Nerlens Noel’s legal battle with Rich Paul is over; both parties have settled their dispute with the former first draft pick accepting to pay its former agent and Klutch Sports their share of its $5 million contract with the New York Knicks.

In 2021, Nerlens, which earned approximately $45 million over his career, filed a complaint against Paul and Klutch Sports Group, alleging that he lost $58 million in potential benefits when Paul represented him between 2017 and 2020.

Noel accused Paul whose client list includes several other NBA superstars, including Lebron James, Trae Young, Zach LaVine, and others advising him to reject a $70 million bid and take a one-year deal instead.

According to ESPN, Noel’s lawsuit came after Paul filed a grievance with the National Basketball Players Association, claiming that the former center owed him $200,000 in commission for the Knicks’ deal.

Per, Shams Charania of The Athletic, Noël, Paul and Klutch Sports Group, “amicably settled their ongoing dispute.”

In September 2022, District Justice Jane J. Boyle dismissed Noel’s lawsuit and recommending that the matter be resolved through the NBPA adjudication system.

Noel is playing the 2022-23 season with the Pistons.
