Seattle, Washington always has been a city with a rich sports tradition whether at the high school, college, or professional level. In a town best known as The Kid’s playground after Ken Griffey Jr. during his stint in Seattle from 1989 to 1999, where he captured an MVP award in 19樂威壯 97.

Other athletes that can be credited with that same honor are individuals such as Jamal Crawford, Nate Robinson, Russell Wilson, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor, Doug Baldwin, Walter Jones, Brandon Roy, Norris Fredrick, Sue Bird, Lauren Jackson, Kenny Easley, Doug Christie, Jason Terry, and many more.

Seattle and its surrounding areas have sent several natives to the NBA such as Aaron Brooks, Doug Christie, Nate Robinson, Jason Terry,  Brandon Roy, Allonzo Trier, Terrence Williams, Tony Wroten Jr to name a few.

Earlier this season, I spoke with Nuggets guard Isaiah Thomas about where he had Jamal Crawford ranked amongst basketball players to come out of the Emerald City.

“He is number one. 1A & 1B him and Jason Terry,” said Thomas.

The Sacramento Kings were in town recently to take on the Dallas Mavericks. Before the game, I asked Doug Christie to name his top five players from the Seattle area.

” Jamal Crawford, myself, Brandon Roy, IT [Isaiah Thomas], JT [Jason Terry] and I’m sure I am leaving someone out,” said Christie.

During his career, Doug Christie adverage 11.2 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists per game, and made the All-Defensive team four times. He was also a part of the All-Time Sacramento Kings during the early 2000s, which gave the Los Angeles Lakers, and Spurs difficulty on the court with their passing ability and versatility.
