Sheldon Bailey has been a body double for LeBron James for a while now. He will resume the role as James’ body double in Space Jam 2 when it’s released next summer.

“For the past eight years, I have had the opportunity to be a body double for LeBron James.  This role has taken me all over the country and across the world and it has put me in direct contact with some of the best directors and producers in the world, ” Bailey told me a couple years ago.

“Even though I had a lot of fun playing  Kobe Bryant and Dwight Howard in the past, there is no comparison to the work I have gotten as  LeBron James. Being his body double has done so much more for my career.”

I recently spoke with Bailey about James, and he shared that James is serious about his off-season regime. While he was on set for commercials or movie sets, he has to have a masseuse on his rider.

“When talk about durability, when look the game, while in the bubble. LeBron [James] is in the tunnel doing lunges with a twist. He has been with his trainer and every set there may or may not be some security,” said Bailey.

“However, LeBron [James] always has his trainer and on his rider, he has a masseuse. Dude is literally working his muscles or getting them worked on, and he has a chef. Look how he is performing at one particular level at what year in his career. Some guys don’t want to do the work, but it also takes the right introduction somewhere in the program. So, guys know how to do the work.”

James is entering year 18 in the NBA, and coming off another NBA championship with his third team. James also recently signed an $85 million two- year extension that will keep him in a Lakers uniform until 2023.
