Earlier today Big 3 Co-Founder Ice Cube was interviewed on the Jim Rome Show, and Carmelo Anthony’s name came up as Ice was asked to react to an interview between Frank Isola of The Athletic and Brian Scalabrine. Where Scalabrine stated, “Joe Johnson would not be in the conversation if he didn’t play in the Big 3. I want Carmelo Anthony to realize that. Hanging out with his trainer and playing in these bogus pickup games is not better than playing in the Big 3” Jim asked Ice what his reaction to the quote from Scalabrine and if Carmelo would be better playing in the Big 3 than running in pickup games with his trainer?

“I think he would I think anybody who would want to show their skills and playing three on three you need all your skills. You cannot have any weaknesses or it’s going to show. To show that you can do it all the things that people think you may not be able to do, the Big 3 is the perfect platform.

The game are live on CBS. I don’t know how much better the exposure can be for a player and the Big 3. Going overseas, you might not get seen. But you know, in the BIg 3, you get seen. Either they are going to come to the game or they are watch it on TV.

There is no better basketball in the summer than the Big 3. So, it really is the place to be if you really want to get back in the NBA or just show that you can still perform at a high level. Whether you want to get back or not it still is the best three on three league in the World,” said Ice Cube.

Earlier this month, former NBA player Royce White was interview by Fanatics View, in Dallas Texas. He was numerous questions including if he felt Carmelo Anthony was being blackballed by the NBA?

“He is one of the realists in it. He is one of those that isn’t like me, he doesn’t talk brash and straight forward like that, but has those morals and principals, and he has given the game for them not to allow him to play, for them to culturally a decision or an agreement that he is not good enough anymore.

All of us here that played the game at the highest level know how good Melo is and we know that there is no way, that the Lakers would go out and sign Jared Dudley and not sign Carmelo Anthony and another question is why a guy like Lebron is walking around like is the face and the voice of the players.”

How is he letting his Banana Boat Brother hang out there in the wings, and they go and sign Jared Dudley and not Carmelo?  If anybody watching, this thinks Jared Dudley can hold Carmelo’s jockey strap, I’ll slap them.  That’s how I’m coming though!
