Donovan McNabb is the Philadephia Eagles All-time leading passer with a total of 32,873 yards. He is also the Eagles’ winningest quarterback with 101 victories. Since retiring in 2011, the Eagles honored McNabb by retiring his jersey and placing him in their Ring of Honor. Later this year, McNabb along with his former Eagles teammate Troy Vincent will be inducted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame.

“Such an honor to be voted into the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame,” McNabb shared on Twitter last month.  “I’m truly overwhelmed. I look forward to coming back and seeing the fans who supported me on and off the field during the exciting decade I spent there.”

Last week, The Hype Magazine released its cover story featuring McNabb. During the interview,  the former Philly quarterback was about his interest in possibly owning a piece of the Eagles.

“It would be something to think about and if the opportunity arises, I would definitely consider it. I don’t shy away from any great business venture where you are rewarded with great capital while helping and uplifting the organization,” McNabb told me.

I greatly appreciate what the Eagles organization has done for my career and my family. I still support the team and I’m happy when they have success. Jeffrey Lurie is a close friend of our family and Andy Reid when he was coaching for the Eagles; the list goes on with the organization. So, I don’t think an ownership stake is one I could say no to. I would definitely look into it and see how I could help make a positive change.

Speaking of Andy Reid, who is now the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs. He was recently asked if thought McNabb should be in the Pro Football  Hall of Fame.

“I’m his biggest fan,” Reid said. “I was there. I know he belongs there when you’re talking about the great players in the National Football League, five championship games, a Super Bowl, all those things. Good football player, man. Great football player.”

Earlier this year, McNabb was a guest on TMZ Sports back in May and was asked if he felt Eli Manning is a Hall of Famer?

Someone, who has thrown more interceptions than McNabb, but has two Superbowls to his credit.  However, when McNabb was asked directly if he was a Hall of Famer, he replied “absolutely” based on his numbers alone and that is not including his four straight NFC Championship game appearance. The Eagles would make the Superbowl on the fourth try but would lose a heartbreaker to the New England Patriots.
