Instagram Powerhouse Claudia Alende Releases New Single Spotlight

Claudia Alende is a model, singer, and businesswoman from Francisco Beltrão, Paraná, Brazil, who relocated to Sao Paulo when she was 20 years old. Throughout her youth, she was considered a “tomboy” and had no interest in pursuing a career in modeling. In fact, she was more intrigued by video games. It was her mother’s friends and even strangers who would approach Claudia and encourage her to give modeling a try.

In 2014, Claudia participated in a beauty contest and won the Vice-Champion, garnering her international media attention. The media also noticed her striking resemblance to actress Megan Fox and the news went viral. By 2015 she’d already eclipsed 2.8 million followers on Instagram and secured a number of high-profile brand endorsements.

Last year Claudia was named one of the top 15 Instagram Influencers you should follow by Forbes Magazine, who said: “As both a model and businesswomen this Brazilian influencer offers a combination of health and beauty content, business advice, motivational content, and lifestyle images. Known for both her beauty and business success, Claudia puts forward the image of the modern woman who can succeed in all aspects of life.”

By November 2017, Claudia had surpassed 10 million followers on her Instagram account. And she closed out the year by releasing her debut single “I’m Good at Being Bad.”

I recently had the opportunity to speak to the talented and intelligent Claudia Alende about her upcoming single “Spotlight” and what’s next for her moving forward.

You are currently working on a new single that will release later this month. Can you talk about what inspired you to create this single?

The single is called “Spotlight” and was inspired by my life. I grew up in a small town in Brazil and now I reside in Los Angeles. It’s about how I always believed in myself and that I could be successful. It’s very different than “I’m Good at Being Bad,” which was more of dance/club song. Spotlight’s vibe is much more “chill.”

Why do you feel this is the best time to release new music?

I feel it is always a good time to release music. I plan on releasing more music in the near future.

When can we expect a full project from you this year?

This year I do not plan on releasing an album. I’m concentrated on putting out singles. I want to create my own style before rushing into a full album.

Who are some of the artists that you are currently working with?

Right now, I am just focused on trying to find my own style and identity before working with others.

Last year Forbes listed you as one of the top 15 of influencers on Instagram. What was your first reaction when you heard that you were going to be on that list?

My first reaction was that my hard work was paying off. Gaining a following takes a lot of time and effort. Many people think it happens overnight, but I can assure it requires a lot of hard work.

You have been compared to actress Megan Fox in the past. Do have any desire to follow in her footsteps and transition into acting as well?

I took acting classes while I was in Brazil, which was great. And I did act in a short. So you never know what may happen in the future. But right now I’m focused on music.

You promote a lot of beauty and health products on social media. Do you have any desire to start your own line of products?

Yes! I have been planning on releasing my own cosmetic line for while now. I don’t know when I will release it but can tell you that it is in the works.

At a young age, you were interested in video games. Is this still the case today? If so are what genre of games are you playing nowadays?

I love video games, but they are pretty addicting and time-consuming. These days I don’t get a chance to play as much as I did when I was a kid because I need to focus on other things. But when I have a minute, I do like Need for Speed, and Battlefield.

What is next for Claudia Alende?

Working on and releasing more singles. And working on my cosmetic line.
